| We ask that you follow three simple, yet vital steps if you have a site you'd like to submit:
Check to See if Your Site is Already in BahamanetCritical, because if your site is already listed in Bahamanet, it won't be listed twice. Check by searching Bahamanet for your site by title, or by browsing appropriate categories. If your site is already listed in Bahamanet but you want to change its comments, title, and/or placement, you need to use the Site Update form.
Find the Appropriate Category in BahamanetFinding an appropriate category for your site is crucial. Remember that Bahamanet visits each site submitted to us, and proper categorization on by you helps us act on submissions quickly.
Submit your site from the Appropriate CategorySubmit your site from the category you think most appropriate. Do this by clicking on the "Submit a Site" link on that category page. If you have a link that needs a new category, drill down as far as you can go in narrowing the topic, then suggest the new category branch from that page. Don't forget that the final placement of your site is determined by Bahamanet. When you click on "Submit a Site" in the appropriate category, you'll see an online form asking for information about your site. (In the "category" space on the form, you'll see the name of the category you've chosen.) Please be prepared to provide, among other information, your site's title, URL, and a brief description. It is important to note that Bahamanet reserves the right to reject any site submission. If your submission is rejected, you will be notified of the rejection and informed of possible reasons for the rejection. On a closing note, thank you for contributing to Bahamanet! By following the above steps you're helping us process sites and continually improve on the best Bahamian resource online! | ||||

| What are some reasons for site rejection? | ||||
The most common reasons for site rejection are:
| ||||
| ||||
| What happens when I submit a site? | ||||
| you submission is automatically placed in a queue of submitted sites. This queue is accessed in order of submission by site reviewers, who visit your site and evaluate it.
If your site is deemed valid, the reviewer then determines what category would be most appropriate, taking into account any suggestions made by the submitter. If an existing category is suitable, that category is used. The site is then added. Currently, Bahamanet does not notify submitters when their site is added to the directory, however that will change in the future.
If your site is rejected, you will be notified with an explanation by email. Please take the time to review the explanation before resubmitting your site.
NOTE: It is very important that you provide a valid email address! Failure to provide a valid email address could affect your listing, and hinder our ability to notify you of any problems or issues.
